So that's why I don't see the ads anymore on your frontpage. I was wondering about those ads. I hope it wasn't me that caused you to get banned from the Google-ads. I did click on the ads some times when I came to the site. I thought you were getting money for those ads, and well, since not too many visitors come by, I figured I'd give then a click when I liked what I saw.. I hope I didn't screw you out of your money. Shocked

No cc number, I payed through pay-pal. The e-mail e-bay sent said that he had been banned and thats all they could say due to privacy issues. I guess it's so if someone files a bogus complaint, that your other customers don't get the wrong idea. I really am not worried too much since I payed with pay-pal. I keep an eye on that all the time. It could be nothing to get banned, hell, I got banned from google adsense. They said they had detected illegal clicks and were gonna return the money I earned to the customers and thats it. They wouldn't tell me shit. I e-mailed them about 5 times trying to get an idea what happened and if I could get re-instated, but nope, tough banana's. They decide, and thats it. I know I did nothing wrong, so it must have been too many clicks from the same visitors. So I guess if you want to screw a web admin out of his money, you could click away on his ads. Anyways, I'm not worried.

If I were you, I would contact ebay and find out why he got banned. Because if he got banned, it would have to be something serious, like stealing identities, creditcard numbers, ect. I would also watch my month by month credit statements (if you had to submit your credit card number to ebay).

Update on the ebay saga:

I had bought the two items and was waiting for delivery. Then I get an e-mail from ebay. What it said was that one of the sellers I had bought from has been banned from ebay, and if I wanted to file a complaint I could, and I should file one with paypal and hope I can get my money back. I thought, oh great, I just learned a 20 buck lesson, but I would wait a bit to see if I get what I bought before filing anything. Three hours later, the mail gets here, and everything is there. Both purchases arrived without any complaints. So I don't know what happened but I'm happy, my kids are in la la land, and everything worked out. So much for his ban, at least it wasn't me who got screwed.

I don't use ebay so I couldn't tell ya. Yes, it is confusing. I watched a friend place an early bid on an item and we were both baffled by ebays bid behavior. Needless to say, we lost the item. I'd be a buy now kind of guy too.

Saw somebody Quaking as egay...

I've never used eBay before, so I don't know how the bidding thing works, and I don't know what's the difference between paying $20 for one set, and paying $24 for another set if they are the same exact thing. All that I know is this... in a few years, this You-Gee-O thing that you're kids are really into now, will no longer matter to them in a few years. You'll probably find the cards in the trash after they grow out of that age-range. Laughing

OK, this is a lttle strainge for me to grasp, so maybe someone can shed some light.

My kids are into those yugioh cards. They got some birthday money and wanted some rare and expencive cards, so I headed to E-Bay. It was a three card set, (I haven't a clue about them) so I did some searching and found allot of them. The bidding started at 99 cents (I guess thats what everything starts at) and had a few that had the "Buy Now" button for 20 bucks. I made a couple of bids (they both want there own sets) and watched to see what happened. I got out-bid on a few and they where selling for 24 bucks for one set and 67 bucks for another. After a while I started thinking, WTF is wrong with these people. They have a buy now button for 20 bucks and your bidding 24 and 67. WTF, are they stupid or am I missing something. The one set that went for 67 said it was "mint" but one of the ones that said buy now for 20 said "brand new" and "un-touched". So maybe there is a difference, but come on... 47 bucks worth. So needless to say I just went ahead and bought the 20 buck "buy now" cards and my kids were happy as hell.

So what am I missing here on this e-bay thing?

Side note: I lost the bid on one of the 20 buck ones (which sold for 24) when I first started bidding and got a message for a second chance. It said I could buy now for 21 bucks. I looked at what else the seller had and he had more of the 20 buck, buy now card sets. So what is this 21, I can just go and buy it for 20, why pay 21. Why would the winner pay 24 when he could have just bought it for 20. This thing just doesn't make sence.

Div'
