Nice system!!!!! You got me beat My case is a plain case also. It's under the desk and no-one see's it, so why bother. I did go for some cooling mods though. I cut out the fan sections in the case and used the chrome grill that comes with the fan. The case fan area with all those little holes for the air to go through really restricts the air. Then I cut out the front fan hole and enlarged it to fit a bigger fan. I think it's a 90mm. I have a quake symbol grill for a fan for the side panel, but I never put it in. I was concerned about cooling more than looks, so that's the direction I went.
I can't wait for quake4 either. I'm also waiting for the Serenity movie to come out. At least it has a date, sept 30th. If you haven't seen the "Firefly" series, it's worth the dvd. Thats what the serenity movie is based on. You should do a google for the "serenity trailer" if you haven't seen it already. It looks sweet.
Well, quake on!!! |

| Well, I just finished building my computer that I'm going to take with me to college. So far, I really like it. I just finished installing Windows XP Professional on it, and it runs very smooth. I think this rig is ready for Quake 4, and I can't wait to finally play it on this system. It's got both a CD-ROM/DVD drive and burner, a 430 watt ATX12V power source, AMD Athlon 64 processor 3000+, EPoX nForce 4 Ultra Motherboard, 1 gig of RAM, the Nvidia GeForce 6600 GT video card, about 60 gigabytes of hard disc space, and of course... a floppy disk drive. The only slump about this rig is the case, it's just a plain white case. I think I might design it a bit, maybe spray some paintings on it, or turn it into a Doom 3 building like that one guy did, or something else of that sort. So I can't wait for Quake 4 to finally hit the shelves so I can test this puppy out. |
