OK, I went through this thing with a fine toothed comb. I added everything that I thought would help my fps. Now I play and it seemed to help, but I don't notice any graphic difference. Not sure if what I did is getting exec'd. I did a test on an empty server, and joined, then did a "exec autoexec.cfg" and it returned some of my settings as being server side and can not be set. It was all the bob settings. So all the others should have gone through, but I still didn't notice a graphics hit.
I have the ATI 9800pro, so I have to have my settings low anyways, so maybe thats why I didn't notice. Or maybe I just don't pay attention enough. Has anyone else played with these settings in this guide? How is it helping or not? |
