I'm on a new host now. VisaWeb.com. It cost's alot more, but I need alot of room for the site, so I gotta pay. The last one was cheap, but the guy was a moron and an asshole. So here's the story of what happened if you didn't hear it already.
Well, the guy sent me 3 e-mails in about a 20 minute period while I wasn't home, saying I was using too much memory on the server. The last of the three said it was because I had zip files for download, and that I should remove them. I asked him to explain how having these files used memory before I removed them, since they had been there for over a year. He replied back, that, who the hell do I think I am, asking for an explination before I remove them, and he was tired of my memory usage and he was shutting my site down. The guy put up a notice saying the account had been suspended. Told me I had 36 hours to back up my site through the cpanel and that was it. Now I find out he's done this before to a friend of a friend. He just snaps and shuts you down.
I've filed a complaint with the BBB and have demanded a refund. LMAO it's only 8.99, but it's the principle. So we'll see where it goes.
I was paying $8.99 a year for his asswipe service and now I pay $112.00 for a years service. Allot more but a better host I hope. The new host comes with a free domain name when you sign up, so I got Quake4addicts.com now also. They both go to the same site, so I may change a few things on the front page, but who knows.
